WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO AS GOD’S MEN
|
“How can you have faith when you seek glory from one another and do not seek the glory that comes from the one who alone is God?” John 5:44
FACT: God does not weigh our actions before men as much as he weighs intentions before Him.
You see when it comes to having a “spiritual life” our actions for God may be all right but our hearts may be all wrong. We may be seen doing something spiritual or a “good deed” but the real question is: are we doing spiritual things or good deeds in order to be seen? A lot of men use promised recognition as a motive for doing what should be done for its own sake as a man of God.
Action: God’s man carries on his life as if the only opinion that matters is God’s alone. This is what Jesus’s words are all about here. If it is essential for you to be seen then that action for God is not essential. The visible side of our lives and the events that comprise them do not need to be Explained in visible terms to anyone.
Jesus said, “Your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” Just keep getting healthy, strong, and going into God’s purposes because it’s what God has called you to do.

These strong words and the attached feelings flowed forcefully from the tall, super intelligent and beautiful woman responding to my talk on third wave masculinity and femininity. I replied, “How so? What do you mean?”
