Being On Target
Being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience. Colossians 1:11
We are talking about becoming a man who is efficient, who is effective, whose aim is accurate, who multiplies power in his life, who frustrates the enemy, that doesn’t win the battle for appearances in life but actually wins the battles of life, where you actually get lethal for your cause. A sniper is effective because that describes him. He is efficient, he is effective, his aim is accurate, he multiplies power for his team, he frustrates the enemy and he’s lethal for his cause. Do you know what the world needs, it needs God’s men, who are efficient for God, effective for God, their aim and focus is on God, they multiply spiritual power inside of their life so what comes out of their lives frustrates the enemy and advances the cause of loving God and loving people.
Every God’s man wants to be on target but not every man understands the battle to stay on target. It’s the snipers focus – he calibrates, he selects targets, he eliminates opposition, and he reloads. He needs to reload for only one reason, the possibility of missing the target? Do I miss the target? Do you miss the target? Our calibration can be wrong, our targets may not be priority, our focus may be wrong. The biggest obstacle we have in the Christian life is to overcoming the target miss. Check your coordinates, get up, dust yourself off, glance at your past and gaze on your future. God keeps no account of your failures, but helps you look to the future.
Father, I’m sure glad it is you who is my Father.
