Attacking Hope

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10

God’s dream for our lives is Christlikeness.  Christlikeness involves hard choices in the direction of our hopes of our eternal home: always say no to the offerings of earth if they diminish the values or relationships of our homes.  Christ’s clear, practical paradigm of spiritual aggression views choices on earth as an investment in our hopes and home.

Questions: Where’s your home?  Where do you want to end up?  The pattern Christ set for us was well taught in his time on earth.  Remember His time in the desert with Satan?  He knew where His home was, He knew that this world was not His home.  He knew that this is Satan’s world and He remembered who He was and why He was here.  There isn’t any difference in the temptations of Christ and our own. Some of us struggle with food, some with alcohol, others with sex. This was not of Gods choosing. Adam and Eve chose to be their own God by choosing to turn away from a God of blessing to have what Satan had, knowledge of good and evil. Therefore the fall of mankind.

This life is not our own, God created us to live in paradise on earth to be a family concerned for one another on earth, to live in a paradise. He now has allowed all who choose to accept his grace to enjoy his love forever.
Thank you Father for your promise to be with me forever and ever.
