May 28, 2013 | EMM Main Blog | From Deliverance to Activation – Uprising Series III

This is the last of four articles in our “Uprising –Series III,” where God’s men explore the “uprising” taking place globally where a rebellion is taking place against the suffering created by broken masculinity. This series takes us on a journey into our broken male culture, showing us that God is our Father and He wants us to return home to His family. This series will help you understand that we are all God’s children and — like any loving Father — He expects His sons to behave accordingly.

You know what has the world scratching its head? Half a billion Christian men, who supposedly have experienced deliverance, but it cannot be seen in their daily life.

When you are delivered and you understand that you’ve been delivered, it changes the way that you see God. It changes the way that you see yourself. It changes the way you see others in need. It changes the way you see your purpose on earth.  When you look around you, you see people in their own Egypts, it could be the Egypt of self, or the Egypt of culture, or the Egypt of drugs, or the Egypt of human trafficking.  Those people who are in Egypt just like you need deliverance. Every Man Ministries, Uprising series by Kenny Luck

Your experience creates a new expression from within you.

Power in today’s world is an expression that comes out of the experience of deliverance. We get together as God’s men, and we go get it done. We deliver. We bring help, and hope, and freedom. That’s the movement that’s happening in our world.   I want to challenge you with this movement.

Acts 6 gives us a picture of what that looks like. You see a group of guys there together, something happens, and they turn into deliverers.

Acts 6:1-4 reads: “In those days when the number of disciples was increasing, the Hellenistic Jews among them complained against the Hebraic Jews because their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food. So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, “It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables. Brothers and sisters, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.”

We’ve got a need. Acts says, let’s deploy men to deliver.

Acts 6:5-6 says, “This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; also Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism. They presented these men to the apostles, who prayed and laid their hands on them.”

Verse 7 reads, “So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.”

They’ve experienced Sonship, and now they express it in the context of the age they live in and the need they see. They rally, they deploy and then they go.

If we haven’t moved to expression, then we are not complete in God’s process for us.  Experience without expression is incomplete. Isn’t it interesting how stale mere religion gets when we only seek experience?

The question to ask is in our context, in these days, is what problems do we see?

We are called to address them and then deploy men. The results will be the same as experienced in Acts, “So the word of God spread.”

You see when people see men dangerous with goodness it’s a phenomenon. It’s like “Huh… what’s going on?”

The word of God spreads, and the number of disciples increases rapidly. I especially like this: a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.

Deployment activated guys who were supposed to be activated already. All of a sudden, this sleeping giant called men in the church see a real expression of faith.

Guys, if you are reading this today, people need to see YOU as a Christian man doing something with other Christian men.  Get together with a few guys from your church or your small group or a few friends, look at the needs around you and DEPLOY.

As I speak around the world, I am seeing an unprecedented uprising in our current period of history. Men are activating. Join them so you can find the completion of God’s expression through your life!

Let God get you focused.  In your mind say, “Jesus I need delivery. I need delivery from myself. I need deliverance from sin. I need deliverance from my circumstance. I need deliverance from immature character that makes the people around me suffer. I need You. I need my deliverer. Come into my life. Change me and then as you deliver me, help me to be an agent of your justice, carrying on that sane message of deliverance to other people in my world and my context, in my life, beginning with those around me, and spreading to my neighbors, and then to those in my country, and then to those around the world.”
