The Big Reveal

“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6

There is no static in the Christian life. You are a work in progress, God’s process involves transformation. Paul’s letter to the Romans in chapter 12:2 says, “Don’t be conformed but be transformed.” The word for transform is the Greek word for renovate or remodel.

Home renovation television shows reveal a house as it was, then numbers of people flood in to tear down and build up. The host of the show sends away the family and brings them back for the big reveal. When he does he says, “Bus driver, move that bus!” What was there before is not the same and the transformation takes peoples breath away.

There’s a foundation with God. When we cross the line we come into a relationship and all of a sudden we hand ourselves over like empty blue prints and then God starts building into our lives and we get to cooperate and engage in God’s  process in order to get God’s product. It’s a partnership and the choices we make reflect the material that go in to this product. Some of our choices will slow the process down, but ultimately God wins and the house is completed. As a child of God, the bus driver will finally pull the bus away and we will experience the big reveal of being completed in Christ.

Father, you are not done with me yet, may I cooperate fully with your will for my Big Reveal.
