We Change He Doesn’t
God is not human, that he should lie, not a human, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill. Numbers 23:19
You have relationships and situations and obstacles and things that require the inside of you to match the outside, you need to transform. Growth requires change and change requires shifts in the way you think so that you can then have changes in the way you live, shifts in the way you believe things, so that you can get shifts in the ways you behave. Your behaviors reflect your beliefs. The shifts we make in our believing and living, we are hoping that it will create a positive effect, more health in our lives. There is a billion dollar industry that is trying to help us do that, there’s counselors, and self-help people, books and magazines and they are all trying to help us make these shifts so that we can get more health in our lives.
Question, who or what becomes your reference point to making the needed shift every guy needs to make and will be called to make in order to become more healthy, more mature, better husbands, better dads, what’s your reference point? There’s a plethora of reference points that you can turn to that will say, hey, let us help you change.
You want your reference point to be Christ so that you can get God’s best wisdom and God’s best results, we call those results blessings, and those are the results that we want. We want our reference point to be our creator made known in the person of Christ who reveals to his children the best way to live. That revelation comes from your choice to depend on His word and His Spirit that he has placed in you to guide you into all truth.
Father, thank you for not changing, and for causing change in me.
