Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. I Peter 5:8
Have you ever heard this statement before, “I don’t want to alarm you but…”? They always proceed to tell you something that triggers your fight or flight response. Well, I don’t want to alarm you, but we have reached that point.
It’s time to move from an acknowledgement of evil and toward a deeper and more intimate knowledge of the Evil One — his character, his guises, his helpers, his tactics, and his fears. The fangs are out, the cavalry has been called, the bullets are flying, and sacrifices must be made.
We must acknowledge the following truths in facing resistance and hostile fire. The ability to see the enemy and maneuver in darkness provides a huge tactical advantage — the ability to respond effectively and productively when attacked provides confidence — the ability to rescue, defend, and save lives provides incentive to use night vision goggles.
Night vision is to modern warfare what discernment is to your effectiveness against evil. Satan fears our understanding that he has integrated our lives. He devotes so much time and energy spreading disinformation about his MO. But when he goes from being a blip on your radar to being a highly recognizable priority threat, it frustrates and angers him to no end.
Yes, Satan is real and if our understanding is that he’s just a mythical figure we are fighting an enemy that will be undefeated.
Thank you, Father, for your Intel and night vision goggles.
