God desires intimacy with YOU!

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever — the Sprit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. John 14:16

That’s what you call teamwork for a good cause.  Each person of the Trinity in agreement, moving as one, target selected, and on mission to reach into your life with their unique qualities and personality as a united presence.  The Holy Spirit wants a strong relationship with you, versus a weak, meaningless, casual, intellectual, beige association. Get that! A relationship with the Holy Spirit is only made strong through an aggressive and intentional pursuit of that relationship by you.

Men know those two words (aggressive and intentional) when it comes to securing a relationship with a member of the opposite sex.  The things we do (or did) for love! We listened — we talked late into the night — we created “moments” — we sacrificed other commitments — we went to great lengths to connect — we were driven to understand. That’s a real relationship with a real person. Do you get the picture? This intensity in relationship is what the Holy Spirit wants in connecting with you. Aggressively and intentionally pursuing a strong relationship with Him will involve: Meditation in His inspired Word (listening) — interaction with Him through prayer (conversing) — affirmation of His person and purpose in your life (validating) —cooperation with Him in the midst of hardship and temptation (partnering).

Recognize that without the Holy Spirit no conscious contact or relationship with God is possible.  He is the chip, so to speak, that makes it possible for you to run all the software applications of spiritual life. He illuminates “all things God” for man.

Father, you have me covered totally, thank you for wanting to spend time with me.
