What has gotten Into You?
And when the Holy Spirit comes on you, you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, all over Judea and Samaria, even to the ends of the world. Acts 1:8
The Krakatoa’s volcano blast of 1883 was 150 times more powerful than the atom bomb dropped on Hiroshima in 1945. What do volcanic events, Krakatoa, the Holy Spirit and rocking the world have to do with God’s Men today? Everything!
As we make transitions in our thinking about the Holy Spirit from the ethereal and impersonal to the personal and practical, as we cooperate with him in the specific transformations He desires to achieve in us by subduing the sinful nature (the boy) and creating a man having the character of Christ, as we now focus on the powerful works the holy Spirit seeks to accomplish through us, we must reflect seriously on the nature and power of the explosive transactions that come from the synergy of His power and our faith.
What we see biblically is that, properly embraced, the work of the Holy Spirit is no ordinary explosion of God’s power. Look again at how Jesus Himself predicted the displacement factor of men under the influence of the Holy Spirit as told in the book of Acts.
What you’ll get is the Holy Spirit. A turning point in world history took place. God, in his love for you, has provided this turning point in your life. We must be aware that God has provided us a Spiritual Krakatoa the moment we ask Christ into our lives.
