Stay Strong
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.” Ephesians 6:10
The goal is to stay strong in God and stay in the zone of His mighty power flowing in my life. How do I do that in this epic spiritual battle between God and Satan? I’m in the middle of it. Here’s how. In Ephesians 6:11-12 it says, “Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.’
Your self-determination or will power is like chaff in the wind. You do not have the ability to win a spiritual battle. If you think you can, you will quickly learn than you cannot. It is not a physical or mental battle; sin has to be overcome with power from the Holy Spirit given by God the Creator. God gives you the ability to act out of the love He puts in you. You no longer have to be good enough. You are declared good enough the moment you accept His gift. You now live life through His total forgiveness supplied by the sacrifice of Jesus, one time only, on the cross. By faith you now act with His power.
Make no mistake, there is a spiritual war and you are in the middle of it. The only way you win this battle is through the gift that God wants everyone to experience. The faster we decide to get out of the way and let the Holy Spirit fight our spiritual battles, the faster we move into victory.
Thank God for accepting you and me, sins and all. Now, ask God to open the hearts of those around you so that your influence will overcome Satan and his minions.
Thank You for your promise, Father, to supply the Holy Spirit to fight my spiritual battles.
